Caramel Apples

These caramelized apples are excellent on their own, with whipped topping, over ice cream or as a sweet treat alongside any meal.

Ingredients:

1/3 cup Butter
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
6 Apples

Directions:

1. Melt butter in frypan and add sugar.

2. Stir till sugar is dissolved or softened and everything is well blended, then add vanilla.

3. Core unpeeled apples, cut them into quarters and add to hot sugar.

4. Simmer uncovered over medium heat, basting often with the syrup for 15-20 minutes.
