Delicious, melt in your mouth, new style Southern dessert will make your mouth water and dream for more. Easy to make and will satisfy even the most discriminating Pecan Pie fan.

Ingredients:

36 Caramels
1/4 cup Water
1/4 cup Margarine
3/4 cup Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
3 Eggs beaten
1 cup Pecan halves
1 Pastry Shell 9 inch unbaked

Directions:

1. Melt caramels with water & margarine in a saucepan over low heat. Stir occasionally until smooth.

2. Combine sugar, salt & eggs. Gradually add caramel sauce; Mix well.

3. Stir in pecan halves & pour into pastry shell.

4. Bake at 350 degree for 40 minutes.

5. Pie filling will appear soft,but becomes firm as it cools.
