Caramel-nut Popcorn

Ingredients:

12 Cups Popcorn 12 Cups Popper popcorn
3 Cups Walnuts 3 Cups Walnut or pecan halves or or
1 Cup Brown Sugar 1 Cup Brown sugar heaping
1/2 Cup Butter 1/2 Cup Butter small lump
1/4 Cup Light Corn Syrup 1/4 Cup Light corn syrup (Karo)
1/2 Teaspoon Salt 1/2 Teaspoon Salt to 1 ts
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda 1/2 Teaspoon Baking soda level - dissol ved in milk

Directions:

1. Divide popcorn and nuts between 2 ungreased rectangular pans, 13x9".

2. Cook brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt over med heat, stirring constantly until bubbly around edges.

3. Continue cooking 5 minutes, remove from heat.

4. Stir in baking soda until foamy. Pour over popcorn and nuts, stirring until corn is well coated.

5. Bake uncovered 200, 1 hr, stirring every 15 minutes.
