1. Dissolve yeast in warm water and 1 tablespoon sugar.
2. Scald milk and add margarine. When cool add egg, sugar, cardamon, salt and dissolved yeast.
3. Add 7 cups flour and mix well. Place 1/2 cup flour or more on board as you knead dough for about 5 minutes.
4. Place dough in greased bowl and let rise until double in size (approximately 2 to 3 hours).
5. Punch down and let rise again. Divide into 3 sections and make into cinnamon rolls, braided or ringed coffee cakes.
