Ingredients:

3/4 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Corn Oil
1 Tablespoon Cider Vinegar
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
2 Teaspoons Extract Of Vanilla
1 1/4 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 Cup Flour
1/4 Teaspoon Salt coarse
1 1/4 Cups Maple Syrup
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Carob Powder (or cocoa)

Directions:

1. Sift the flours together with baking soda, salt & carob.

2. Stir in the sugar. In a large mixing bowl, stir together oil, water, honey, vinegar & vanilla until well blended.

3. Add dry ingredients, mixing till well blended.

4. Lightly oil & flour 2 8-inch cake pans. Divide batter equally between the two pans & bake at 350F for 20 minutes, or until the cakes test done.

5. Cool for about 10 minutes then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely.
