This is a very delicious Indian cuisine. It is fairly easy to prepare and great to taste, a typical dish to celebrate a special occasion. Milk cream can also be added to enhance the taste. and garnishing can be done by grating raw almond on the Halva.

Ingredients:

1 Ounce Raisin dark, seedless (optional)
1/4 Cup Ghee
1 1/2 Pints Milk
1 Pound Carrot peeled
1/4 Teaspoon Cardamom
1/4 Cup Blanched Almond
1/2 Cup Sugar

Directions:

1. Peel and finely grate carrots

2. Grind the cardamon seeds

3. Pour milk into a saucepan, bring to the boil

4. Add carrots, cover and simmer for 30 minutes until soft

5. Add sugar and stir, until mixture thickens

6. Fry almonds in ghee, on a low heat for 5 minutes, until golden

7. Add almonds, cardamon, and raisins to mixture, stir and cook for 5 minutes

8. Can be served hot or cold
