Cathe's Beef And Snow Peas

Ingredients:

1/2 Pound Beef 1/2 Pound Beef roasting
1 Unit Salt 1 Unit Salt (to taste)
1 Unit Pepper 1 Unit Pepper red bell
4 Tablespoons Cornstarch 4 Tablespoons Cornstarch divided
1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce 1 Tablespoon Soy sauce or tamari, reduced-sodium kind
1 Tablespoon Brandy 1 Tablespoon Brandy or lemon juice
1 Unit Clove Of Garlic 1 Unit Clove Of Garlic pressed
1/2 Cup Onion 1/2 Cup Onion chopped
1/4 Pound Snow Peas 1/4 Pound Snow peas trimmed
1 Cup Chicken Broth 1 Cup Chicken broth heated
1/4 Cup Water 1/4 Cup Water

Directions:

1. Cut beef into chunks, sprinkle with salt and pepper.

2. Roll in 2 T cornstarch. Add beef to soy sauce and brandy; mix well.

3. Saute garlic; remove. Cook meat (do not add extra batter); remove.

4. Stir fry onion till limp, add snow peas and heated broth.

5. Cover and steam 15 to 20 seconds, until veggies are crisp-tender.

6. Return meat and thicken with 2 T cornstarch, dissolved in 1/4 cup cold water.
