Chocolate Brittle

This is a very simple recipe,And very easy to make,Chocolate brittle is the perfect treat.I particularly like the texture of the chocolate with the added taste of wonderful almond and walnut.

Ingredients:

1 Pound Butter
1 Pound Sugar
1 Pound Almond whole (opt)
1 Pound Semisweet Chocolate
1 Pound Walnut finely chopped
1 Cup Walnut whole

Directions:

1. In a saucepan cook butter & sugar, boiling 5 minutes.

2. Stir in almonds & cook 10-20 minutes or until nuts begin to pop & turn brown.

3. Pour into a shallow pan & let cool. Melt chocolate & pour over mixture in pan.

4. Sprinkle with finely chopped walnuts. After mixture hardens, turn over and sprinkle bottom side with walnuts. Break candy into pieces.
