Chocolate Buttermilk Cake

Ingredients:

1 Cups Flour A/P
1 Cup Sugar pinch
1/2 Cup Cocoa Hershey'
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda heaping
1/2 Cup Salt fresh ground black pepper to taste
1 Cup Buttermilk or plain yogurt
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil 45 Ml
2 Teaspoons Extract Of Vanilla (up to 2)

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F Butter an lightly flour two 8" round cake pans or one 9"X13" pan.

2. Mix the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a bowl.

3. Add the buttermilk, vegetable oil and vanilla, beating until smooth.

4. Spread in the pans or pan, and bake, about 20-25 minutes for the small pans, 35-45 minutes for the large one.

5. Test to see if a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan before turning out onto a rack.
