Chocolate Chip Cake Secret Recipe

Ingredients:

3 Eggs at room temperature
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Butter or margarine
2 Teaspoons Vanilla
1/4 Teaspoon Salt to taste
1 Cup Sour Cream
1 Cup Chocolate Chips
2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
3 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Walnut (we always used walnuts) Chopped

Directions:

1. Sift together flour, baking powder and soda, and salt.

2. Cream together butter and sugar; beat the eggs in one at a time.

3. Add sour cream and vanilla to the creamed mixture.

4. Add flour mixture to creamed butter mixture and mix together.

5. Mix together the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl.

6. Grease a tube pan (angel food cake pan). Pour 1/2 the batter in the pan then sprinkle on 1/2 the chocolate chip mixture.

7. Add the remainder of the batter, then sprinkle the remainder of the chocolate chip nut mix on top.
