Ingredients:

2 Cups Flour 2 Cups Flour whole wheat
Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Cup Unsweetened Cocoa (preferably Dutch
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder 2 Teaspoons Baking powder plus
1/2 Teaspoon Salt 1/2 Teaspoon Salt (I used reduced sodium)
1 1/2 Unit Butter 1 1/2 Unit Sticks butter softened
2 Cups Sugar 2 Cups Sugar
4 Unit Eggs 4 Unit Eggs hardboiled
2 Teaspoons Extract Of Vanilla 2 Teaspoons Extract Of Vanilla or orange flower water; optional
12 Ounces Semisweet Chocolate Chips 12 Ounces Semisweet chocolate chips (about 1 1/4 cups)

Directions:

1. In a small bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.

2. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy.

3. Beat in eggs, one at a time, and vanilla. Add flour mixture and beat until well blended.

4. Stir in the chocolate chips. Cover and refrigerate until well chilled, at least 1 hour, or over night.

5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets.

6. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until dry and set. Let stand 2 minutes, then remove to a rack and let cool completely.
