2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter 2 Tablespoons Unsalted butter lite
2 Tablespoons Heavy Cream 2 Tablespoons Heavy cream
1/2 Cup Sugar 1/2 Cup Sugar brown
3/4 Teaspoon Cornstarch 3/4 Teaspoon Cornstarch Dissolved In
2 Tablespoons Grenadine 2 Tablespoons Grenadine syrup (obtain from bar supply/liquor store)
1 Tablespoon Calvados 1 Tablespoon Calvados or apple brandy
2 Cups Apples 2 Cups Tart cooking apples --
1 Unit Ice 1 Unit Sliced
2 Unit Sour Cream 2 Unit Tablespoons Sour cream

Directions:

1. Melt the butter in a medium skillet over moderate heat.

2. Add the sugar, syrup, and apple slices. Stir to coat the slices.

3. Cover and cook, stirring once, until the apples are translucent, about 5 minutes.

4. Stir together the sour cream, heavy cream, and cornstarch.

5. Stir the mixture into the apples. Bring to the boil, cook for 1 minute, and remove from the heat.
