Cinnamon Sauce

Ingredients:
1 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
2 Teaspoons Cornstarch Dissolved In
1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon for garnish
2 Tablespoons Butter or margarine
2 Teaspoons Extract Of Vanilla or orange flower water; optional
1. In a sauce pan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon.
2. Gradually blend in 2 cups BOILING water. Cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.
3. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
4. Yield: 2-1/2 cups of sauce to serve over ice cream, baked bananas, pineapples, and plain cakes.
