Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons Butter or margarine Softened

2 Tablespoons Flour plus additional

1 Quart Milk up to 1

1 Pint Tomato Juice strained

Directions:

1. Cream butter and flour together, add to hot juice.

2. Stir quickly or use egg beater to smooth. Cook until it thickens.

3. Heat milk until slight scum forms; lower heat, add tomato mixture slowly, stirring constantly.

4. Salt to taste. Serve hot with buttered popcorn or crackers.
