Traditional Danish apple cakes can probably be traced back to three centuries. This is probably one of the most gorgeous looking cakes that can be offered to a guest along with coffee. This recipe is a simplified guide on making the cinnamon flavored Danish apple cake, which should take just about 40 minutes to prepare.
2. Beat together egg, sugar, vanilla and melted butter (can add up to 3 tbsp melted butter).
3. Stir in sifted flour, salt and baking powder.
4. Add chopped apple, nuts and cinnamon and nutmeg and mix well.
5. Put in greased pie plate and bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.
