Dark Chocolate Sauce

In a medium saucepan over low heat, stir whipping cream and chocolate until smooth, about 15 minutes. Stir in vanilla. Serve warm.


1 1/2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
3 oz Unsweetened Chocolate chopped
2/3 cup Dark Brown Sugar packed
4 oz Bittersweet Chocolate chopp
1/4 cup Unsalted Butter softened

1. In a small heavy saucepan, combine the cream and brown sugar.

2. Bring the mixture to a boil over mod-high heat, whisking occasionally, and boil it, whisking, until sugar is dissolved. Remove pan from heat and add chocolates, whisking, until they are melted.

3. Whisk in the butter and the Amaretto.

4. Continue to whisk until the sauce is smooth.

5. Let cool slightly. Makes about 3 cups.
