1. For dough: cream together first 5 ingredients.
Add dry ingredients.
Form
dough into a ball; cover and refrigerate for several hours.
2. Separate
chilled dough into 2 balls.
3. Roll each ball into a rectangle - dough should
be fairly thin.

For filling: chop dates; place in saucepan.
5. Add remaining ingredients and
cook over low heat, stirring until a paste is formed - about 15 minutes.

COOL COMPLETELY.

Spread filling on dough; roll up dough & filling jelly roll style.
8. Slice
1/2" thick; bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes
2 to 3 dozen.

I assume for the dough you combine the first 5 ingredients plus the flour.
