Dill Beer Bread

Ingredients:

1 1/2 Tablespoons Baking Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Salt 1 t.
1 Tablespoon Sugar (for decoration)
12 Ounces Beer or ale
3 Cups Flour plus additional
3 Tablespoons Fresh Dill (1 T dried)

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

2. Butter a loaf pan, or spray with vegetable oil spray.

3. Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl.

4. Stir in the beer and dill. Scrape the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake in the center of the oven for 55 to 60 minutes, or until brown on top and knife inserted into the center comes out clean.

5. Allow to sit in the pan 10 minutes, then cool on a rack.
