Eggless, Milkless, Butterless Cake

Ingredients:

1 Package Raisin
1 Teaspoon Salt pinch
1 Cup Sugar (for decoration)
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon (generous)
1 Teaspoon Cloves (whole)
1 Cup Shortening (solid)
3 Cups Flour plus additional
2 Cups Water (Ice) to 1/2
2 Cups Walnuts Chopped
1 Teaspoon Soda Water

Directions:

1. Boil raisins, water, sugar and shortening 5 minutes; cool.

2. Add spices, soda, flour and mix well. Add chopped walnuts.

3. Bake at 350 degrees in two loaf pans for 1 hour.

4. Needs no icing. The longer the cake is kept, it seems the more moist it is.

5. Should be wrapped in wax paper if keeping for quite a while.
