Ingredients:

1 Teaspoon Vinegar white
1 Teaspoon Salt pinch
1/4 Cup Water room temperature
3/4 Cup Shortening (solid)
3 Cups Flour white or unbleached
1 Egg beaten

Directions:

1. Combine flour and salt; cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.

2. Combine egg and water; sprinkle over flour mix.

3. Add vinegar and lightly stir with a fork until dry ingredients are moistened.

4. Shape into a ball. Wrap pastry in wax paper; chill at least 1 hour.
