Ingredients:

3 Cups Sugar plus
1 Cup Cream thin
1/4 Cup Butter (1 1/2 Lbs.)
2 Tablespoons White Corn Syrup
1/8 Teaspoon Salt fresh ground black pepper to taste

Directions:

1. In a heavy pan or skillet lightly brown 1 cup sugar.

2. Slowly add cream, remaining sugar, butter, syrup and salt.

3. Cook to soft ball stage or 235-degrees on candy thermometer.

4. Remove from heat; beat until thick. Pour in buttered platter.
