Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Butter 1/2 Cup Butter or margarine
3/4 Cup Confectionery Sugar 3/4 Cup Confectionery Sugar (optional)
1 Tablespoon Extract Of Vanilla 1 Tablespoon Extract Of Vanilla to taste
1 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour 1 1/2 Cups All-purpose flour (up to 3)
1/8 Teaspoon Salt 1/8 Teaspoon Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 Cup Dates 1/4 Cup Dates chopped
1/4 Cup Walnut 1/4 Cup Walnuts chopped
1/4 Cup Chocolate 1/4 Cup Semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 Unit Icing 1 Unit Galaxy Cookie Icing:
1 Cup Confectionery Sugar 1 Cup Confectionery Sugar (optional)
1 1/2 Tablespoons Milk 1 1/2 Tablespoons Milk (or use about 1/2 C of powdered milk and about 1 C water)
1 Teaspoon Extract Of Vanilla 1 Teaspoon Extract Of Vanilla

Directions:

1. Mix butter, sugar, vanilla and food coloring (if desired).

2. Work in flour and salt until dough holds together.

3. Mold dough around date, nut pieces or chocolate pieces.

4. Place cookies about 1-inch apart on ungreased baking sheet.

5. Bake in preheated oven at 350F for 12 to 15 minutes.

6. Do not brown. Cool and use Galaxy Icing to complete.

7. Galaxy Cookie Icing: Mix until smooth and use to top Galaxy Cookies.
