Grilled Apples

Ingredients:

1/4 Cup Butter melted
2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar firmly packed
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice fresh
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon Ground, divided
1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg freshly grated
3 Granny Smith Apples peeled, halved and cored

Directions:

1. In a small bowl combine butter, brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

2. Prepare a charcoal grill for indirect medium-heat cooking, or prepare a gas grill for medium-low heat.

3. Place the prepared apples on the grill grate and brush with the prepared sauce.

4. If you prefer, place a foil tin on the grill to reduce the dripping and potential flare-ups from the butter on the grill.

5. Grill for about 30 minutes or until tender, turning and brushing with the sauce at least twice.

6. Serve warm; it's fantastic plain or served with ice cream or whipped cream.
