a great recipe if you love Mexican food or a bit spicy food. they are going to be much cheaper if you make at home than purchasing the readymade ones from the market. Piping the cream cheese will make your work much easier.
Ingredients:
12 Unit Jalapeno Peppers whole pickled or fresh
8 Ounces Cream Cheese at room temper
1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1 Cup Buttermilk or sour milk
1 Cup Bread Crumbs approximately
2 Cups Peanut Oil or to taste
1 Unit Ranch Dressing
1 Unit Tortilla Chips crushed, preferably unsalted
1. Stem, halve and remove seeds from the jalapenos.
2. Cut the cream cheese into 24 pieces and press a piece into each jalapeno half.
3. Roll the peppers in the flour then soak in the buttermilk for 1 minute.
4. Coat each generously with the bread crumbs. Place in refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
5. Heat the oil in a heavy skillet over high heat until very hot but not smoking.
6. Carefully slide the prepared jalapenos into the oil and fry until golden brown.
7. and crispy, about 40 seconds. (do in 2 batches) Remove from oil with slotted spoon and pat with paper towels.
8. Serve hot with ranch dressing and tortilla chips.
