Hot Vidalia Onion Spread

If sweet onions are not available, make strong onions milder by chopping them and covering them with ice water a few minutes.

Ingredients:

1/2 Teaspoon Paprika
1 1/2 Cups Mayonnaise
1 1/2 Cups Cheddar Cheese shredded
1 1/2 Cups Sweet Onions croarsely chopped

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Combine onions, mayo and cheese in a medium bowl.

2. Pour into a 1 quart baking dish and smooth the top; bake at 325 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

3. Remove cheese spread from oven and blot excess oil from top with paper towels.

4. Sprinkle with paprika.

5. Serve spread warm with apple slices and garlic bagel chips. Yield 3 to 4 cups or 10 servings.
