Hush Puppies

This is a simple recipe with small number of components and doesnt take too much time. Hush puppies is a type of cake which uses flour,the main ingredient of cake.

Ingredients:

1/2 Teaspoon Salt freshly ground pepper; to taste
1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1 Cup Yellow Cornmeal fine or medium grind (up to)
6 Green Onions minced
1/4 Cup Flour all purpose
3/4 Cup Milk warm
1 Egg beaten

Directions:

1. In a medium bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt; mix well.

2. Add the egg, milk and onion; stir just until mixed.

3. In a deep-fat fryer or electric skillet, heat oil to 365 F Drop batter by teaspoons into oil.

4. Fry 2 to 2-1/2 minutes or until golden brown.
