Indonesian Steak With Onions

Although steak stands alone in flavor, often times it's the marinade that makes it memorable. The infusion of Indonesian flavors in this recipe's marinade makes this a meal to remember!


3 Pounds Steak (chopped)
2 Onions chopped
1 Centiliter Garlic minced
2 Teaspoons Coriander
1 1/2 Teaspoons Salt (I used reduced sodium)
1/2 Teaspoon Pepper fresh ground, to taste
1 Unit Cayenne Pepper
2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice depending on the
1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar heaping
2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce plus 1 teaspoon

1. In a large bowl,toss the onions,garlic,coriander,salt and both types of pepper.

2. Add and mix the lemon juice,brown sugar and soy sauce.

3. Place the chuck steak in this marinade and refrigerate over night.

4. Place meat on broiler pan or rack, farthest from the flame.

5. Broil 12 minutes.Place marinade on meat and broil another 2 minutes.
