Mennonite Whole Wheat Bread

1/2 Cup Honey or barley malt
2 Teaspoons Salt cayenne pepper
4 Cups Flour white
2 Packages Yeast dry
6 Cups Flour whole wheat
4 Cups Spaghetti Water, warm
1/4 Cup Molasses light or dark
1/2 Cup Butter softened

1. Dissolve yeast in the warm water.

2. Combine butter, molasses, honey, and salt. Mix well.

3. Add yeast mixture. Gradually add flour. Turn onto a floured board and knead until smooth (this will take a fair amount of shoulder; the dough is fairly heavy).

4. Place in a large greased bowl, then turn to grease the top.

5. Cover with a clean tea towel, and let rise until doubled, about two hours.

6. Punch dough down, and let it rest a few minutes.

7. Divide into quarters, and shape into loaves.

8. Place in greased bread pans, and let rise about one hour.
