Miniature Meatballs

Ingredients:

2 Cups Water
4 Tablespoons Vinegar
1 Cup Onion Chopped
1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1/2 Cup Lemon Juice fresh
4 Tablespoons Shortening
4 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
6 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 Teaspoon Pepper Freshly Ground
2 Teaspoons Salt coarse
2 Pounds Ground Beef veal or lamb
2 Cups Ketchup

Directions:

1. Combine beef, salt and pepper in mixing bowl. Measure 1 tbs. seasoned beef around stuffed olive or small pickled onion.

2. Place in shallow baking dish. Bake at 300F for 20 minutes. Serve hot with barbecue sauce.

3. Barbecue Sauce: Heat shortening in skillet. Add onion and brown. Pour off drippings.

4. Add remaining ingredients and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, 25 minutes, or until thickened.
