Onion-Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Salt
8 oz Butter softened
3/4 cup Brown Sugar
3/4 cup Sugar granulated
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
12 oz Chocolate Chips pkg.
1 Vidalia Onion chopped

Directions:

1. PREHEAT oven to 375 F.

2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.

3. BEAT together butter,white and brown sugar till creamy and light.

4. Beat in eggs one at a time with vanilla. STIR in flour in two lots; mix well.

5. Dough will be quite stiff. Stir in chocolate chips.

6. Spoon by heaping spoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets.

7. Flatten with wet fingers and sprinkle onions on top of each cookie.

8. Bake until golden brown, 12-14 minutes. Cool on rack.
