Pasta With Shrimp In Tomato Cream

Quick, easy and just about foolproof, this company worthy pasta dish will always please!

Ingredients:

1/3 cup Dried Tomato
1 Clove Of Garlic minced or pressed
1 lb Shrimp shelled, deveined
1/4 cup Green Onion thinly sliced
1 1/2 tablespoons Fresh Basil chopped
1/4 teaspoon White Pepper
1 cup Chicken Broth
3/4 cup Dry Vermouth
1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
10 oz Linguine
tablespoon Parmesan Cheese garnish grated

Directions:

1. Add 2 Tablespoons oil from tomatoes, heat in wide frying pan over medium-high heat.

2. Add garlic and shrimp when oil is hot.

3. Cook, while stirring, until shrimp are opaque when cut (about 6 min).

4. Remove from pan.

5. Add onions, chopped basil, tomatoes, pepper, broth vermouth and cream to pan.

6. Boil over high hear, stirring occasionally until reduced to about 1 1/2 cups (about 10 min).

7. Return shrimp to pan and stir until just heated through.

8. Meanwhile cook linguine in 3 quarts boiling water until just al dente (about 8 min for dried linguine).

9. Drain, arrange on 4 plates and spoon sauce over.

10. Garnish with basil, cheese to taste.
