Sesame Halvah

Ingredients:

1 1/2 Cups Honey Or Maple Syrup
1 Teaspoon Allspice ; crushed
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon stick
6 teaspoons Sesame Seeds (optional)
1 Teaspoon Ginger finely grated

Directions:

1. Toast 6 cups of sesame seeds in a skillet or oven.

2. Blend the seeds in a blender one cup at a time.

3. Add honey, ginger, cinnamon and ginger and mix in well.

4. Pat into a 13" X 9" pan and refrigerate. Cut into squares.

I have read every halvah recipe on the enternet and not one is wright. First and formost to make sesame halvah you must have Saponaria officinalis (soapwort. That is the base for making halvah, then sugar,vanila,and tahini.
