Shrimp Fra Diavolo

This is a pasta recipe with a very hot, tomato-based sauce with garlic and different kinds of pepper. It's a strong, spicy recipe which promises to make you feel a taste of Hell (hence the name: it's Italian for "Brother Devil").


1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper flakes of
1 teaspoon Dried Thyme Leaves
2 lbs Shrimp raw shelled and cleaned
1/2 cup Fresh Parsley chopped
1 teaspoon Dried Basil
4 tablespoons Olive Oil
1 Bay Leaf
1/2 stick Butter Stick
1 teaspoon Oregano
2 Cloves Of Garlic crushed
28 oz Canned Tomatoes crushed
1 cup White Wine
1 Onion chopped
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 Jalapeno Pepper halved and seeded

1. Melt butter in oil and saute onion and garlic until golden.

2. Add tomatoes and mix well. add all other ingredients and mix well.

3. Simmer for 30 minutes.

4. Remove bay leaf and hot pepper halves.

5. Add shrimp and/or lobster and simmer 15 minutes.

6. Turn off heat and let sit for 10 min. Cook pasta according to directions.

7. Drain and toss with sauce.

8. Top with extra sauce and fish and serve immediately with grated cheese on the side.
