1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
2 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 cup Butter , softened
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 Egg 1
1 teaspoon Extract Of Vanilla

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla.

3. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder.

4. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.

5. Roll out dough on a flat surface and cut into shapes using cookie cutters. Lay on ungreased baking sheet.

6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden.

7. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.

8. Decorate with your favorite icing and sprinkles!
