Soy-Sugar Marinade for Bbq Spareribs

Ingredients:

2 Slices Fresh Ginger peeled and grated ( 1/2 tsp dried ginger can be substituted)
1 Clove Of Garlic squeezed through a garlic press
1 Teaspoon Salt to taste ;
1 Dash Pepper Ground
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce light
1 Tablespoon Sugar brown, packed

Directions:

1. Mince garlic and ginger root; then combine with remaining ingredients.

2. Rub mixture over spareribs. Let stand 1 hour; then roast.

3. VARIATIONS: For the regular soy sauce, substitute 5 tablespoons light soy sauce and 1-1/2 teaspoons heavy soy sauce.

4. Omit the ginger root. Substitute a second garlic clove.

5. Add 2 tablespoons sherry and 1/2 teaspoon each of ground cinnamon, anise and cloves.

6. Omit the pepper. Add 2 teaspoons brown bean sauce, mashed; and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
