1 Teaspoon Vanilla (up to 5)
1 Can Milk condensed water

1. Dissolve the condensed milk and water over a low heat.

2. Add the sugar and continue to stir constantly until the mixture starts to crystallize and leave the sides of the pan.

3. Crush the cardamoms. Pour the vanilla essence into the pan, add the cardamoms and mix well.

4. Spread the mixture on a buttered dish, into small diamond or square shapes and separate when cool.

Hi, This is in reply to your question on the 12th April 2010 - I have made this recipe using one can of condensed milk and with about a tablespoon of water. I have also successfully made it with no water added - one thing to be noted; the more water is added to the recipe the longer it will take for the mixture to caramalise. I would also recommend adding a tablespoon of butter to the mixture for a softer tofeee. I also add crushed cashews to add a bit more zing to the toffee. Finally one more tip - you need to score the tofee lightly before it hardens as they will break when you attempt to cut them into sqaures after the tofee has hardened. : ) with best regards, Amal

What do you mean by 1 Can Milk condensed water? = 1 can of condensed milk (397g) and how much water?
