Ingredients:

1 Egg lightly beaten
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Cup Walnut
3/4 Teaspoon Salt to taste
1 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Shortening
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Package Chocolate Chips (6-oz)

Directions:

1. Cream first 5 ingredients.

2. Add dry ingredients. Mix well.

3. Add chips and nuts, stirring well.

4. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes on greased cookie sheet.

5. Makes 3-1/2 dozen.
