Ingredients:

1 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour sifted
1 1/2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour unsifted
1 Tablespoon Sugar pinch
1 1/4 Teaspoons Baking Soda level - dissol ved in milk
1 Teaspoon Salt (generous)
1 Cup Buttermilk or plain yogurt
1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil 1.5 TB

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Mix flours, sugar, baking soda and salt. Stir in buttermilk and oil.

3. Shape dough into 6 balls. Roll each ball into 9-inch square on lightly floured cloth- covered board.

4. Cut into 2-1/4-inch squares; brush with butter.

5. Place squares on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with coarse salt or sesame or poppy seed if desired.

6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until crisp and golden.
