Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Sugar
1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
1 Teaspoon Vinegar
2 Teaspoons Salt to taste
2 Teaspoons Margarine
1 Pound Shortening
1 Cup Water warm
1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon Ground
3 Tablespoons Flour unsifted
4 Cups Peaches sliced & peeled

Directions:

1. CRUST: Combine salt & flour.

2. Cut in shortening. Add water & vinegar.

3. Mix. It should be a firm dough, ready to be rolled.

4. If not firm, add a little more flour. Divide into 2.

5. Roll one ball thinly & fit into the bottom of a 8" pie plate.

6. FILLING: Combine peaches with sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon & salt.

7. Mix well & add to pie crust. Roll out remaining pastry & cover pie, seal.

8. Pierce the top of the pie in the centre with a sharp knife. Bake at 400F for 35-40 minutes.
