Almond Crecents

These buttery little cookies are a nice change from the usual sugar cookies. The almond extract kicks up the almond flavor making them a real treat.


1 cup Butter
3/4 cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Extract Of Vanilla
1 1/2 teaspoons Almond Extract
2 1/2 cups Unbleached Flour
1 cup Almond ground
Confectionery Sugar to taste

1. Beat together butter and sugar until very light and fluffy.

2. Blend in extracts. Mix in flour and almonds. Using about 1 T of dough for each, shape into logs and bend into crescents.

3. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees F until light brown.

4. While warm, roll crescents in confectioners' sugar.

5. Cool on racks and store in a tightly sealed container.
